Rehearsal for Murder

Adapted by D.D. Brooke from the Teleplay by William Link & Richard Levinson - Directed by Grant Brennan

Playwright Alex Dennison is a man with a mission.

It’s been one year since the Broadway debut of his then fiancé, Monica Welles. A debut which ended in tragedy when her body was found in her apartment, an apparent suicide.

On the anniversary of her death, Alex has called together the cast and crew of that ill-fated Broadway production. He is eager to start rehearsing his new play, Killing Jessica, whose heroine bears an uncanny resemblance to Monica.

As they progress through Killing Jessica, Alex’s colleagues grow wary of his intentions. Did Monica take her own life or was she murdered? And which one of the assembled thespians, if any, committed that deed? Packed with red herrings, thrills and wit, is this a rehearsal for a new play? Or a rehearsal for murder?

By arrangement with ORiGiN™ Theatrical on behalf Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

We will be serving cheese and wine in the foyer before the play, as approved by the Board of the Pavilion Theatre.

The doors will be open from 7:30pm, with the play starting at 8:00pm.  As those who have attended previously will know, parking is extremely easy.
For those who are uncertain about directions, the theatre is in the Castle Hill Showground precinct, off Showground Road at Castle Hill.

Can you please let us know how many of you and your friends are coming by Thursday 22nd May 2025 ?

We look forward to seeing you there!
