Often education is one of the first areas abandoned when domestic and family violence occurs. With the support of Rotary Australia World Community Service, Rotary District 9685's Respectful Relationships Program have created two compassionate funds to provide opportunities for recipients to close this gap.
For school aged children, Safe Hands Bursaries will provide a $500 bursary to help them experience a ‘normal’ schooling. So funds can be used for education resources, school excursions, after school activities etc.
For adult survivors of domestic and family violence, Strong Arms Scholarships are designed to enable the attainment of either a TAFE or university qualification that can contribute to a career and earning capacity and a sustainable lifestyle.
The Rotary Club of Carlingford values the importance of D9685’s Respectful Relationships Program and will be donating funds raised from this theatre night to this worthwhile and impactful program. We'd love you to join us to support this cause.

Glorious !
By Peter Quilter Directed by Meredith Jacobs
Based on a true story, this hilarious and heart-warming comedy tells the story of Florence Foster Jenkins, the worst singer in the world.
Set in 1940s New York, the singer everyone wants to see is the enthusiastic (and slightly delusional) soprano dubbed “the first lady of the sliding scale”. Glorious! follows Florence Jenkins as she warbles her way from charity recitals and extravagant balls, to bizarre recording sessions at the Melotone Studios and finally her triumphant performance at Carnegie Hall. All aided and abetted by a circle of devoted friends who are almost as eccentric as she is.
Join Florence and her friends for a delightful and blissfully funny play that generates a glow of warmth and lots of laughter.
Glorious! was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award – Best New Comedy (2005) and inspired the 2016 movie Florence Foster Jenkins starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant.
